In the context of a workshop organised by the EIB, WWF and Climate-KIC on the Role of Finance in Re-Inventing Coal and Carbon Intensive Regions, JASPERS presented its integrated approach to support regions in undergoing a “Just Transition”. Several case studies were presented to the COP24 audience, highlighting the impact of available JASPERS advisory and capacity building support.
JASPERS also participated to a side event organised by EIB at the BENELUX Pavillion focused on available advisory services to complement finance for Climate Action projects.
Besides introducing the role of JASPERS and relevant guidance documents prepared by JASPERS in cooperation with DG CLIMA and DG REGIO on climate change considerations in project preparation, the event gave the opportunity to highlight the example of good cooperation between JASPERS and Polish National Roads and Motorways Directorate (GDDKiA) on making road infrastructure resilient to climate change.
The Networking and Competence Centre regularly organised seminars, trainings and roundtables on climate change issues, in close cooperation with DG REGIO, DG CLIMA and other relevant stakeholders. JASPERS guidance documents on addressing climate change consideration in infrastructure projects are available on the Resources Library of this website.
