Training on state aid issues in infrastructure projects

A TRAINING on general state aid issues for infrastructure projects in the 2014-2020 programming period was held in Brussels on 22 and 23 October 2015.

The JASPERS Networking Platform was created to complement JASPERS project advisory operations by implementing knowledge sharing and capacity building activities, as well as fostering dissemination of good practices and exchange of experiences among all EU member states, pre-accession countries and other JASPERS Stakeholders.

The JASPERS Networking Platform is open to relevant authorities from all EU Member States (EU 28), as well as pre-accession Countries.

The training was the first in a series of events that will address State aid issues that are relevant for projects to be funded by European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) in the period 2014-2020.

The target group of the training were representatives from managing authorities and line ministries and beneficiaries that currently are or will be responsible for the preparation of projects in the period 2014-2020.

The training covered the general principles of State aid, related regulations and practical guidelines, procedures and concrete examples of particular relevance for the preparation of infrastructural projects. In each session time was allocated for Q&A and exchange of practical experience among participants.

For more information and a tentative agenda please see the description available on this page.
